Jochen Teizer holds a Senior Lecturer and Researcher position at the Ruhr-University of Bochum where he and his team investigate technology for lean and injury-free construction. He earned his Dipl.-Ing. from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in 2002 and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2006. From 2006-2014 he chaired the construction engineering and management program at Georgia Tech’s School of Civil Engineering and since 2007 he is Vice-President and Board of Director for the International Association for Automation and Robotics in Construction (IAARC). With over 250 publications and numerous academic and construction industry awards, he serves as a visionary and consultant for the AEC industry.
